Joining the Automotive Solutions Group
Bernard Wenzlick originally started Wenzlick Automotive as Wallace and Wenzlick Motors in a business partnership over 40 years ago.
Having started from scratch, Bernard and his business partner built the business up over the years until Bernard bought his partner’s share in the mid 1980s.
Bernard’s son Shane Wenzlick has worked for Wenzlick Automotive since doing his mechanic’s apprenticeship in the late 80s/early 90s. In 2004 Shane became a part owner of the business.
Today, with a combined 63 years (plus) in the automotive industry, Bernard and Shane enjoy a strong reputation in Thames.
Wenzlick Automotive Ltd. joined the Automotive Solutions group in 2005. They already knew a number of members of the group, and say it seemed a good way to share their ideas, learn from others, and stay competitive.
The Team
We are a motivated group and our aim is to provide the best service possible. Bernard and Shane, two other automotive technicians, a parts manager and office administrator complete the team.

Shane and Bernard Wenzlick’s involvement in motorsport
sees them travelling the North Island to compete in the North Island
summer series. Racing a Super 6 saloon car on a tarseal circuit is
“a bit of serious fun,” says Shane.
Shane drives the car with Bernard
as his pit crew. Together, they’ve won their particular class every
year for five years.
