Northcott Automotive Solutions
Paul and Christine Northcott are the owner operators of Northcott Automotive Solutions, and Northcott Subaru & European. Both businesses are conveniently located at 189 Devon Street West, New Plymouth.
Paul, a mechanic by trade and his wife Christine opened their first automotive business – a rural service station and workshop – in 1991.
Five years later Paul and Christine set up the Nationwide Service Centre franchise in New Plymouth.
Joining the Automotive Solutions Group
In 2005 Paul and Christine joined the Automotive Solutions Group, also changing the name of the business.
“We wanted to be a part of a networking group that was made up of the best people in our industry. I knew some of the people who were involved, and that Automotive Solutions would be the right fit for us,” said Paul.
During that time Paul and Christine were offered several dealerships but it wasn’t until the Subaru Dealership for New Plymouth and Taranaki became available, and Paul and Christine had the confidence in the brand and its team that they decided to take the plunge.
Working alongside Paul and Christine at Northcott Automotive Solutions are three technicians, a receptionist, a vehicle groomer, and parts and sales staff.
Northcott Automotive Solutions services and repairs all vehicle makes and models including European and Continental.
Northcott Subaru & European
Northcott Subaru & European caters for the European market and has the specialist skills and equipment to diagnose and repair all makes and models of European cars.
As trusted Subaru specialists it is the only authorised service centre to undertake service and repair on Subaru vehicles in Taranaki and as far south as Wanganui.
Northcott Subaru & European includes a new car showroom, a used car site, parts department and service department.
Awards and Associations
Team members from Northcott Automotive Solutions have won regional industry awards including MTA Top vehicle groomer/detailer for Taranaki (2009) and Top technician (2008).
Northcott Subaru & European won the 2010 MTA Taranaki Customer Choice Competition.
Paul is Immediate Past President of the local MTA and still serves on the Executive Committee.
