Automotive Solutions Invercargill
Anita and Blair Cooper are the owner operators of the most southern branch of Automotive Solutions, and are located on the corner of Sydney and St Andrews Streets, Invercargill.
Automotive Solutions Invercargill is an authorised AA repairer and do all auto servicing and repairs including servicing fleet vehicles.
They have the latest Hanatech scanning tools for advanced automotive diagnostics.
The business has been in the Cooper family since 1992 with a new workshop built in 2009.
When Blair's parents first took over the lease the workshop was originally attached to the service station. Blair started off in the workshop as the boy with the broom and worked his way up.
Anita also grew up around the automotive industry as her family owned an exhaust shop in Invercargill. In 1995 Anita worked for Blair's parents as a part-time forecourt attendant and the rest, as she says, is history!
Blair and Anita travelled overseas from 1998 to 2001. On their return Blair took over management of the service station and workshop after his father passed away. In 2004 the couple bought the business.
Joining the Automotive Solutions Group
Automotive Solutions Invercargill was one of the earlier members to join, along with Rob Le Brun in Dunedin. Blair and Anita saw Automotive Solutions as a progressive group that had the right attitude.
"They were heading in the same direction we wanted to be heading and we liked the image they were portraying," said Anita.
With the Automotive Solutions network covering the whole country, customers can be assured of consistently high service and standards of auto repair wherever they are in New Zealand. While Blair works in the workshop with two mechanics, Anita does the administration and runs between the workshop and the service station.
"We have an experienced team and a great reputation for our honest and up front attitude," says Anita.
Blair is on the local executive board for the Motor Trade Association (MTA).
