“Having moved from Rotorua to Cambridge in 2009, I needed to find all those essential services: doctor, dentist, hairdresser - and mechanic.
I met Morgan and Jayne at a business event and was impressed with their commitment to the automotive industry. Shortly after, Automotive Solutions Cambridge won the 2010 MTA People’s Choice award for best automotive repairer in the Thames/Waikato region.

When my car’s clutch began to fail, there was no doubt where I would take it. Now I wouldn’t take it anywhere else.

Many of my business colleagues and friends also use Automotive Solutions, secure that their vehicles are in the best hands. I understand why Automotive Solutions Cambridge won the award, and next year I’ll be another customer who votes for them.”

Joining the Automotive Solutions Group

Morgan Verhoeven completed his automotive apprenticeship in the late 1970s, and opened his first auto repair shop in 1984.

When Phil Smith (Automotive Solutions Waiau Pa) approached Morgan in the late 1990s about helping to set up a national group of independent repairers, Morgan saw the potential.

“It was a great opportunity for a group of people who were like-minded and passionate about the industry, and knew that as a group we could also provide a better service for the public.”

Morgan and Jayne VerhoevenMorgan changed his business’ name to Automotive Solutions, and in 2003 moved into new premises with a purpose-built, fully modern workshop.

Jayne’s background in marketing and management adds a new dimension to Automotive Solutions Cambridge.

Rounding out the team are four qualified technicians, one of whom is an A-grade automotive electrician, and an office administrator.

Automotive Solutions Cambridge is raising the profile of the brand in the Waipa district.
