Parnell Motors Ltd. is a workshop which was established in 1930 with
one of Auckland’s first European vehicle franchises.
Today Parnell Motors still operates as a specialist vehicle workshop maintaining the traditions of quality customer care with servicing European vehicles, as well as all other popular makes and models including 4WDs – all to exceptional standards.
Don’t let the view from outside fool you – our premises are much larger than you might think! Through our laneway next to Working Style is our modern eight bay workshop. We have three fully-qualified New Zealand-trained mechanics whose combined experience is more than 35 years. Our service manager Mark Barrett has been with Parnell Motors for seven years.
We are proud to be an accredited member of the Bosch Car Service network, which means our customers benefit from the international training and performance-standards information Bosch supplies. We recently updated our Bosch KTS and Hanatech diagnostic computers and we use the latest Autodata software. This diagnostic equipment allows us to access on-board computers and diagnose faults of most late model cars, including 2011 models.
Parnell Motors is an MTA member and AA Licensed repairer.

Joining the Automotive Solutions Group
Fraser Meachen purchased the business in early 2009 and manages the Parnell Motors team of six, including four fully qualified technicians. Fraser has a background in industrial relationship management and is passionate about customer service.
Parnell Motors joined Automotive Solutions in February 2010 to be part of a network of respected workshops. The exchange of ideas and access to best-practice information that Automotive Solutions brings is a great advantage.
Meet the Team
Fraser is the Owner/Manager and is in charge of planning, performance, sales, and marketing.
Mark Barrett (above, left) is the Service Manager responsible for customer service, technical standards, scheduling, parts procurements, and if time allows, gets “on the tools”. Mark has been with Parnell Motors for seven years.
Greg Lowe (above, middle) is a very experienced mechanic / technician, and has been with the team for two years.
Kyle Willcock (above, right) is a recently qualified mechanic / technician with six years New Zealand experience. Kyle has also been with Parnell Motors for two years.
